Das Buch enthält eine Menge nützlicher Tipps und Fallbeispiele. Ich habe dadurch einige neue Denkweisen beim Entwickeln von Produkten erlernt. Die Lean Canvas wird als Tool vorgestellt und Schritt für Schritt ausgefüllt. Anhand des Produkts des Autors wird in jedem Schritt erläutert, wie sie vorgegangen sind und wie sich dadurch das Produkt verändert hat. Das allein war schon immens hilfreich. Die Reihenfolge/Struktur des Buches erschien mir teilweise wirr - als hätte man im Nachgang hier und da einfach immer mehr Sachen ergänzt. Mir wäre es lieber, wenn alles in eine chronologische Reihenfolge gebracht wird, also "mache X, dann Y, dann Z" statt "mache X, dazu gehört Y, dazu gehört Z, danach B, währenddessen auch D, übrigens C!" Ich habe beim Lesen versucht mir selbst diesen Prozess chronologisch geordnet aufzuschreiben, ähnliches würde ich anderen Lesern auch Raten.

Der Autor hat fleißig bei erfolgreichen Büchern abgeschaut (The Lean Startup, Business Model Canvas, The Mom Test). Sein Beitrag ist aber, dass er die verschiedenen Quellen in eine gute Reihenfolge bringt und der Leser so eine gute Schritt-für-Schritt-Anleitung bekommt, wie eine Idee in ein erstes Produkt übersetzt werden kann.Wer die genannten Bücher gelesen hat, kann sich Running Lean sparen. Wer die anderen nicht kennt, fängt mit diesem an.

Ich habe das Buch v.a. als "Ergänzung" und "Mind-Opener" zum Business Modelling a la Strategyzer genutzt und das Thema Business Modelling für mich dadurch etwas breiter aufgestellt.ich weiß: So ist das Buch eigentlich nicht gedacht - sondern als Grundlage für ein Lean Starting Up. Aber es funktioniert dennoch so auch super.

A must for every entrepreneur and even a manager who needs to introduce innovations in his old company. The book is based on the idea - make small steps and buy cheap lessons. If you have to burn your body than burn only your fingers instead of your head.

the book is a basic intro to a common sense in business creation and management. not really impressed with the content, especially when it comes to the metrics of success.. wouldn't really recommend unless it's someone's first book about the business to read.

Really good read. Especially if you have already read the lean startup from Eric Ries, this is an excellent addition to actually start practically running lean startup.

Very impressive. Good written. I can definitely recommend it for aspiring entrepreneurs and people who would like to dive deeper into the matter.
